Good People

Posted by Boiselover26 on 7/24/2009

I enjoy driving out to Kuna to get my hair done by one special person but I have not tried the other services that Lefflers has to offer. The girl I go to is clean, honest, talks to you, asks what you want and are looking for. I went in one day for a really short hair cut and she and my mom kept asking me am I sure I want this haircut. I said yes, and she was a little hesitant but she believe in me and she cut away. I was impressed with how good it looked and I will continue to go to her until she leaves or whatever happens. She is a tiny thing but she knows what she is doing. I think some people have the manners and empathy towards people or their clients and other people just do it for the money. Every where you go there are going to be those whom are shallow and show it and then there are going to be those who are giving and fun spirited and not shallow. You just have to be the judge for yourself not what other people are saying or whatnot. I hate that. You may have different experiences than others will. You dont have to be arogant towards others. But overall, my experience was very good. I loved it. But I am not telling you not to go and experience something for yourself only you can do that.

Eyebrow wax- Horrid experience

Posted by Debikay on 7/22/2009

I had the most horrible experience with an eyebrow wax yesterday. The only reason I went there was because my regular place in Boise wasn't available. I have had multiple bad experiences at Leffler's. Their girls don't know what they are doing and are so impolite and unprofessional. The gal I had didn't speak to me at all, didn't ask what I wanted, didn't wipe the makeup off my eyes or even put lotion on afterward! She was a snob and I will never go back. Yes, I have said this before, but I was desperate yesterday. Another time I was there for a brow wax the gal waxed my FOREHEAD up to my hairline! I was apalled. This is just the tip of the iceberg. I too love to support local businesses, and Leffler's is very close to my house, but I will gladly drive out of my way to a salon that has more experience workers and better service/professionalism.

Customer Service that Reflects Trailer-Trash Quality

Posted by livinginkuna on 4/22/2009

Normally, I give people a second chance, even though the owner dismissed my concern the last time my stylist was a no-show. At this appointment, it would be the second time that a stylist failed to show up for my appointment! Despite the 1/2 inch of unsanitary hair buildup still growing on the baseboards for several months since my last visit, I tried to keep my business local. When I complained, the stylist who was there became rude and defensive, making lame excuses for there not being anyone to cover the appointment. The sign on the door stated that they were open at 8:00 A.M., yet no lights were on until 10:00 A.M. (5 minutes after I showed up). You can avoid this abuse at half the cost in Boise! The drive to a reputable Salon is well worth it!

Do not get a pedicure!!!!!

Posted by meridiancats on 5/30/2008

I was NOT impressed. The only reason I visited was because I recieved a gift certificate for a pedicure for Christmas, and I can say with 100% certainty that I will not visit again. They do not offer a 'spa pedicure' - they offer you a bowl to soak your feet in for a few minutes. My definition of a spa pedicure involves, at the very least, a better foot bath. I admit, I have big feet (size 11), but they did not fit into that friggin bowl they offer. I was ready for my technian to slough away all of the ickyness that the dry Idaho winter had produced...and that experience produced my biggest disapointment. She used a piddly little foot file, and only spent a few minutes filing - an hour later, as I sit here, they look WORSE than they did before. Ugh! All I can say is DO not plan on getting a pedicure here, unless you already have perfect-looking feet, and just want your toenails painted. That's about all they can do right.
